Hull Material: SOW §2.3.12 requires 0.100 5052 marine alloy, while §2.7 specifies composite/fiberglass construction. Which construction requirement should govern? Meet or Exceed: May commercially available boats that meet or exceed certain dimensions, capacities, or performance specifications be considered acceptable?

Response Received:

No, the hull needs to be constructed of marine alloy, not composite/fiberglass. ALSO PLEASE REVIEW THE OTHER QUESTIONS POSTED AND ANSWERED TO GET A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE REQUIREMENT.

The SOW specifies a 0.100 5052 marine-alloy hull. Is that aluminum-hull construction a mandatory requirement, or may a fiberglass boat be offered if it meets all of the other listed specifications?

Response Received:

The aluminum hull is a mandatory requirement. Our mission-set requires shore-side deployment and exfil of the canine team and fiberglass cracks too easily when these shoreline bumps occur.

Can the two required boats be delivered separately at coordinated times, provided both are delivered within the required 120-day period, or must both units be delivered together in a single shipment?

Delivery can be separate shipments.

It would be so much easier to prepare a bid for this boat knowing what the end user would be satisfied with. This is not a custom boat so there has to be some brand of boat they are looking for. Satisfaction for the end user is our goal.

Please review the SOW under "requirements" in section 2.0 to get the specifications needed. NO "brand name" is listed as any brand that can meet the requested requirements will be technically reviewed. Please understand this is not a "brand name" requirement just need to meet the salient characteristics provided in the SOW and the BOM. Please review these docs to get a big picture of what is needed.
