Good Afternoon, It looks like we’ve missed the opportunity to bid on this project by a few short hours. (Buy #1090443 - USCG BASE KETCHIKAN BOATHOUSE NEST REMOVAL AND NETTING INSTALL) Is there any way to request a 24-hour extension so we may submit our bid? Please advise!

I wish we could but the solicitation for LPTA has already closed. If I would have known prior to the close I could have. Please keep an eye out for future contract opportunities.

Please note interior perimeter deck measurements and is there access for a small boom lift to maneuver all 3 decks' surface sides? Is there a weight rating for the perimeter walking deck? Will existing equipment, items, and storage units on the interior walking be removed for access? What are the base access times and days of work?

Good Morning all. I spoke to the customer but they are not providing an exact answer. I do know the blueprints have a measuring scale. The hours of operation for normal business hours are 0730 - 1600 AKDT but can modified potentially coordinated with the COR upon award.

question #1 can you supply the dimensions of the area between the floats inside the structure? The current plans show general dimensions of the building, and width between the concrete wharfs, but do not account for the floating docks. question #2 will the vessels that are moored in the building, be able to be removed for the project?

Response Received:

The dimensions can be clarified during the site visit. If you are unable to be present for the site visit on the 19th at 1000 AKDT, please list all details needed to create the bid. To answer the question about the boat, yes they can be removed for the project.

There are no notations for equipment access within the boathouse. May I have the deck measurements and is there access for a small boom lift to reach the ceiling area? Please note the time given for pricing is not sufficient, can an additional 7 days be granted?

I have extended the contract to the 21st. There will be a site visit on January 19th where details can be clarified with the technical representative. If you are unable to attend, please list exact questions for the technical rep.

Is a site visit possible before bid closing? And how would I coordinate it?

After discussing this with the customer, they would like all site visits to take place on January 19th at 1000 AKDT. POC for the site visit ONLY is LT Juan Fitzpatrick (juan.f.fitzpatrick@uscg.mil)
