1. Wanted to confirm the clear height for the mezzanine is 8ft ?
2. Are the stairs to conform to OSHA standards or IBC code?
3. Is there a specific column layout needed for the mezzanine?
4. Is a resindek over B-deck for the mezzanine decking needed? If not, would it be possible to know what decking is required.
5. Is the live load for the mezzanine known? A 125PSF dead load is noted, does this mean a 125PSF live load?
6. Does the mezzanine have any gates for pallet access?
7. Are there any custom paint requirements, or should we quote standard colors?
8. Are there going to be any shelving/racks put on top? If so, what is the maximum shelving load in PSF?
Response Received:
1. Confirmed, clear height from top of concrete floor to bottom of steel structure is 8 feet.
2. The stairs should conform to OSHA standards.
3. The mezzanine structure does not have specific column requirements. The spans can be whatever is convenient within reason. Area beneath will be used for storage lockers.
4. ResinDek over B-Deck is acceptable, metal grating that meets structural requirements is also acceptable.
5. Live load of 60 psf from IBC 1607.1 for a walkway or elevated platform will suffice. The deadload listed is based on permanent occupancy of storage lockers and equipment as per IBC 1606.2 and is 125psf.
6. No pallet access required.
7. No specific custom paint requirements, grayscale is acceptable.
8. The shelving/racks put on top are included in the deadload of 125psf.

Is the 35' a free span? Open areas without columns
Response Received:
No, area beneath the mezzanine needs access to personnel. Columns that do not significantly inhibit walking around area is completely acceptable.

1. Is there access to a dock or ramp near installation area to get equipment in?
2. Do you want Gray ResinDek or Unfinished ResinDek on top?
3. What type of handrail do you want around the top of Mezzanine?
4. Do you need clear access around all 4 sides under Mezzanine or, Can there be X Braces?
Response Received:
1. There is vehicle access at ground level to double wide doors at ground level.
2. Unfinished resinDek would meet requirements on second floor. Slip resistant grated flooring is also acceptable.
3. OSHA compliant 42" safety railing on 3 sides is acceptable, any material meeting OSHA requirements is acceptable.
4. X braces are fine along one of the 60' sides and along the middle of the 35' length.
