we assume that because GATR is not a Modem manufacturer, that the solution requires an embedded/ruggedized iDirect 950 MP. Is this correct?

Correct, the unit must include a WGS certified modem for TDMA and FDMA 950MP, 1050Ts

Is WGS certification a requirement for X- and Ka-Band? If so, the GATEKEEPER™ or similar technology (interference excision) is not available in the Ranger Product Line. Including this technology would negate our current WGS certifications. We do include a beacon receiver and embedded spectrum analyzer for spectrum monitoring. • Multiple embedded modem options – Our Ranger Product Line is available with multiple embedded modem options. What modem platform is required (TDMA – IDirect or FDMA – Comtech)? • System must feature 4 LAN ports or 3 LAN ports plus DSL option – Our current Ranger Product Line does not have a DSL option.

The description mentions that the terminal should be capable of X, Ka, and Ku operation, but it is not clear what Bands should be included in the bid. Should bidders include all three band kits? If not, which band kits should be included?

We need to include the modem for all platforms that are bidding, meaning all bidders must be WGS certified and must include FDMA and TDMA modem with their products. And be able to work on X band, Ka band, Ku band

Do you have a preference between the Airbus Ranger 1200 and L3 Hawkeye III solution? I have quotes for each solution and wanted to know if you prefer one over the other?
