In regard with Buy # 1158922, the solicitation indicated Hotel must have any of the five AAA Diamond ratings or equivalent and also, Government preference is for a hotel with a three (3) star or better rating on subjective media platforms such as Google, Trip Advisor, corporate website, etc. As this is confusing, please advise if a hotel rated 3.9 Google review will be technically acceptable or not.
Response Received:
The hotel must have any of the AAA diamond ratings or equivalent to be technically acceptable. The subjective media platform rating of three (3) stars or better is a Government preference and not an evaluation criteria.

Q1. Will you provide a Tax Exemption certificate to the awarded vendor? Q2. TECHNICAL CRITERIA states "Hotel must have any of the five AAA Diamond ratings or equivalent." AAA has Diamond and Star ratings. The Diamond rating only identifies Approved, 3, 4 and 5 ratings. The Star ratings identify stars 1- 5 which rating will you accept?
Response Received:
A1: Purchases by the Federal Government are tax exempt by law and most states accept the purchase order as evidence of purchase by the Federal Government. This is not tax advice and does not guarantee that the jurisdiction the purchase is in will waive the sales tax. It is the vendors' responsibility to check applicable state laws before making an offer. A2: Hotel must have any of the five AAA Diamond ratings or equivalent. Government preference is for a hotel with a three (3) star or better rating on subjective media platforms such as Google, Trip Advisor, corporate website, etc., and rating reference may be requested during evaluation of quote(s).
Question Submitted:
Hello, I would like to inquire about the requirements for buy number 1158922. It states that the rooms must be under the Per Diem rate of 173. It also states that the facility must be a 5 diamond facility. The 5 Diamond facilities prices are listed over $700 in the area. Do they really want a 5 diamond facility or is that a typo?
Response Received:
Please review the Solicitation in its entirety. The Solicitation states: Hotel must have any of the five AAA Diamond ratings or equivalent. Government preference is for a hotel with a three (3) star or better rating on subjective media platforms such as Google, Trip Advisor, corporate website, etc., and rating reference may be requested during evaluation of quote(s).
Question Submitted:
Thank you for making me aware of this opportunity. My intentions are to bid. I need help with this submission. I have already gotten a quote for lodging from a third party, and I want to be sure I am putting in a qualifying bid. The government buyer is asking for a teaming agreement between me and the third party on the third party’s letterhead. Do you have any example of a teaming agreement this buyer is asking for? I have submitted a bid for lodging in the past which also required a teaming agreement but I’m not sure if that one I submitted in the past was correct.
Response Received:
Please review the Solicitation Supplemental section which states the following: 3. SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIRD PARTY VENDORS. Third parties submitting a quotation shall include a fully executed teaming agreement for the proposed property/properties. The agreement shall include the dates, number of rooms, and room type (single or double occupancy). The agreement shall demonstrate the existence of a relationship between firms and their agreement to provide the services required under this acquisition. The agreement shall include both the signature of the third party and the signature of the authorized representative of the property. Failure to submit this documentation may result in the Offeror being removed from consideration for award. IF A SIGNED TEAMING AGREEMENT WITH HOTEL NAME IS NOT PROVIDED BY CLOSE OF RFQ, THE QUOTATION MAY NOT BE CONSIDERED.
