Question Submitted:
1) The ELSD detector needs a nitrogen supply, but I didn’t see that called out in the bid. a. This is what it says: Detectors: Evaporative Light Scattering Detector (ELSD): Input gas: high purity nitrogen gas or zero grade air b. Can you confirm if that is needed? We work with PEAK for high purity gas supply. 2) How do you imagine the detectors set up? Depending on how you would want the flowpath to be, you might need a splitter to divert the flow-path to different detectors. If you had the flowpath as RI -> PDA -> ELSD, then you wouldn’t need the splitter.
Response Received:
A1: - We are requesting that the ELSD input gas be compatible with either high purity nitrogen and/or zero grade air. No generator is necessary for this. The ELSD just needs the appropriate connections for a gas cylinder.
A2: - No splitter is needed.
