Please refer to the Section 4.2 of the SOW for Behavioral Support Canine requirements. Also listed at Section 4.2 are the tests that provide insight into a canines suitability as a support canine. The minimum certification required is the AKC CGC certificate.

K9s that are arriving fully trained and ready to be fielded with a handler should be no older than 4 years of age. K9s requiring training should be no older than 2 years of age. Please provide age and date of birth as required.

K9s tested using a toy hunt process and deemed not suitable for detection work can be considered as long as there is no reinforcement history on a target odor.
