Question Submitted:
1- Can the Hammer Head dimensions be 8.5 x 5.5 x 2.9" instead of 8.5 x 5.5 x 4"? 2- Also can the Handle be CNC cut not made on a lathe?
Response Received:
2.9" does not provide the thickness that we need. If a CNC can cut the handle in the same manner as a lathe that would be sufficient.
Question Submitted:
I am requesting an extension of 24 hours.
Response Received:
Will amend to extend by 24 hours.
Question Submitted:
I would like to request an Extension Request as I am working on obtaining pricing for these items. Please advise and thank you in advance.
Response Received:
The RFQ is currently set to close tomorrow, 2023-08-08 11:00:00 ET How long of an extension are you requesting?
Question Submitted:
I have my application in the system for certification of WOSB with the SBA. I am anticipating a response by 8/9/23 but of course I cannot be certain. The SBA has requested that I do not change anything on my Sam.gov profile. I wanted to add the NAICS 321999 which is where this item would fall. Since at this time this NAICS is not on my profile would this negatively impact the quote I am anticipating sending you? With reference to shipping, the request states that a pallet should be used. Is this mandatory? Or can proper packaging be used that would protect the Thor Hammers in transit? I can always make sure that the boxes do not exceed a certain weight limit - thus arriving in several boxes if that is acceptable. Please advise and thank you for your attention.
Response Received:
A pallet is not required; multiple packages is fine.
Question Submitted:
Hello, Do you have any pictures of what the hammer should look like?
Response Received:
I do not have pictures as we have not bought these before. Internet searches show a variety of hammers, we are good with any variant as long as the hammer meets the specs for form, size and finish.

Question Submitted:
When you read the below description by “permanently mounted” are they saying you cannot lift the hammer from the base? So it would be physically attached? If so, it’s doable but it really complicated the shipping part so I just want to make sure because that would take up a ton of space unless I could pre drill holes in the head and base and send along screws for them to attach ones it arrives or would that not be allowed?
Response Received:
Yes, the intention is to have the hammer permanently mounted to the base, but for shipping efficiency, the base can be separate from the hammer as long as the component is pre-drilled and the hardware required for assembly is provided. I will amend the RFQ so that is clear to all interested parties. Thanks
