Question Submitted:
Can you please clarify how many interpreters do you need in Meteti and for how many days? and how many interpreters do you need in Summit and for how many days? The information on the actual bidding template table seems confusing
Response Received:
97 days at Meteti is correct, PWS requirement reads Two (2) interpreters at Summit and Three (3) interpreters at Meteteti. However, the new requirement is for three (3) interpreters at Summit and Two (2) interpreters at Meteti per SFA Team request on 22 Apr 21

Question Submitted:
Item 1 for Interpretation service Summit calls for 3 Interpreters. How many interpreters should be for Item 3 - Interpretation Service Meteti?
Response Received:
PWS requirement reads Two (2) interpreters at Summit and Three (3) interpreters at Meteteti. However, the new requirement is for three (3) interpreters at Summit and Two (2) interpreters at Meteti per SFA Team request on 22 Apr 21.
There are two separate elements operating out of Summit, a Maneuver Advisor Team and a Battalion Command and Control node, and the mission there is more complex. The MAT needs the flexibility to send Advisors to multiple sections within the SENAFRONT Headquarters (division-level command and staff). The team at Meteti is consolidated into one Advising Team and the partner force is more centrally located and advising will be less complex.

Question Submitted:
I just realized yesterday that the bidding table has sim errors as it says 104 days for both teams of interpreters and says translation on the same line item where it is asking for interpreters.
Response Received:
97 days at Meteti is correct.

1.) Is the period of performance of 20 May 2021 to 31 August 2021 the same for both Meteti and Senafront Summit?; 2.) What is the location or address for each Summit?; 3.) As working hours are from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm which equals 12 hours per day; is it expected to have 2 shifts per day for the interpreters? How many interpreters are needed to be simultaneously available at any given time?; 4.) Can you please specify how those interpreters are expected to work 12 hours each day? Is it continuous work from 8 am to 8 pm or are they expected to sit idle? Can you share last year's agenda as a point of reference?
Response Received:
See answers below the questions:
1.) Is the period of performance of 20 May 2021 to 31 August 2021 the same
for both Meteti and Senafront Summit?;
Yes, but these dates may change based on ARSOUTH's potential shift of the
mission. I'm a force provider and do not know the new mission start dates.
Either CPT Knapp or MAJ Taft can answer this question.
2.) What is the location or address for each Summit?;
Sent in previous email. To summarize: I don't know. I'm assuming we'll be at
the SENAFRONT Compound directly next to the Summit Rainforest & Golf Resort.
Unknown until SENAFRONT allocates us work spaces.
3.) As working hours are from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm which equals 12 hours per
day; is it expected to have 2 shifts per day for the interpreters? How many
interpreters are needed to be simultaneously available at any given time?;
No it is not expected. ARSOUTH created the contract for 12 hours per day. I
only set the start and end dates. As the customer, I just want interpretation
services during those times, It's up to the company how they manage it.
4.) Can you please specify how those interpreters are expected to work 12
hours each day? Is it continuous work from 8 am to 8 pm or are they expected
to sit idle? Can you share last year's agenda as a point of reference?
I can use Colombia as my only reference. Our mission has not started in
Panama yet. Generally, interpreters will be used during meetings and training
with our partner forces. Sometimes during training, that may actually be from
0800 into the evening. Generally, I'd anticipate a few meetings per day, then
early release by the SFAB if services are not needed. The teams will manage
schedules for the interpreters within the contracted hours.
