Two questions from a seller has been presented. Are prevailing wages required to install the buildings, deck, stairs, and ramp at Fort Hunter Liggett. And do you want the height of the exterior wall to be 12'-0" or 11'-8" ?
Response Received:
Yes, workmen at FHL must be paid prevailing wages when performing labor at the Army base. We prefer the height of the building wall to be 12'-0" high on the exterior. But we don't want to insist on that height, if a manufacturer is set up for a few inches less.

Question Submitted:
Can you accept the following revisions to your specs?: 1. Studs specified are 2x4, but standard modular buildings use 2x6. 2. Aluminum panel siding is specified, but 7/16 smart panel is a suggested alternative. 3. Interior wall finish specified is textured paint on sheetrock, but a suggested alternative is vinyl wrap gypsum. 4. Specified roof insulation is R-19. Standard roof insulation is R-38. 5. Roof specified was gray shingles, but a better suggestion is .045 EPDM roofing membrane.

ALL sellers be aware that we are changing our specifications due to the suggested materials in this question submitted by a seller. 1. Studs must be 2x6. 2. Siding material for the buildings shall be changed to smart panel white in color. 3. Interior wall finish shall be vinyl wrap gypsum, off white color.
4. Provide roof insulation that is R-38, and not R-19 as specified earlier. 5. Eliminate gray shingle roofing, and utilize instead a .045 EPDM roofing membrane system.
