Question Submitted:
Q1 - Will the government consider out of hours work for core drilling if it is at no additional cost?
Q2 - Is there any documentation (as built drawings) for control panels that operate the 2 gates?
Q3 - Clarifying that core drilled holes are in pairs (1 low voltage 1 line voltage) and are ~ 4.5" to accommodate sleeves
Response Received:
Q1: Out of hours would be considered for proposed and specific parts of the project. The majority of the project should be completed during regular listed hours. Work on Sunday’s prohibited.
Q2: No. Recommendation would be hand digging in this area to expose the existing underground conduit to get a better idea of directions of travel. Markings on the ground are based on general idea of the facility and work done. Markings made available during site visit are for general purpose only and should not assumed be 100% accurate.
Q3: Exterior to interior coring – 6 holes (3 low voltage, 3 line voltage)
• Interior wall coring – 2 holes/wall (1 line voltage, 1 low voltage)
• Floor/ceiling coring – 4 holes (2 line voltage, 2 low voltage)
• Size is correct

Question Submitted:
Q1: Will Conduits need to be placed in a concrete duct bank? Q2: Will wire in Conduit be by others? Q3: Will pull boxes need to be rated for vehicle traffic? Q4: Are drawings available for the existing utilities if any that may interfere with paths for this install?
Response Received:
Q1: No – however, conduit will need to be secured in a way to prevent movement but doesn’t necessarily need to be a concrete bank unless that is what the contractor wants to propose in their bid.
Q2: Some low voltage wiring will be by a separate contract. All high voltage wiring will need to be disconnected and reconnected under this contract. During site walk, this will be clearer than in the image in the package.
Q3: Boxes, no. Conduit will be traveling underneath active driveways though. During site walk this will be clearer. We will give the contractor some leniency on moving the pull boxes slightly to one side or another if the ideal distance has it placed on a driveway. Contractor will need to submit their final plan per the schedule for approval of locations.
Q4: No – We have a general idea of where some of these existing utilities are located. I will be marking the area prior to the site walk to give everyone a better idea of what exists. This needs to be used a general reference as we have been unable to locate records with a reliable means to locate existing underground infrastructure. Contractor will be required to notify digsafe as well.

Question Submitted:
Are there scaled drawings or plans of the project?
Response Received:
We do not have an exact drawings or plans but rather a rough estimates. The vendor will have some ability to move the conduit in a few different directions to make it work. Vendors are encouraged to bring a measuring wheel on the site visit day to obtain the proper measurements/numbers so they can plan their proposals accordingly.
