Question Submitted:
Please clarify the below, - Is the plumber doing the installation? - The architect or engineer who wrote the specification - The type of building where it’s being installed (multifamily buildings, military barracks, hotels, etc.) - The original make and model of the specified item
Response Received:
The is for the item only, we will install. We will not release the names of anyone or the type of buildings it will be used on. It will be used on several types of buildings. The specification is that it will work on a 2 inch copper line at it's rated flow. There is no original make as there is no units on any of the buildings currently.
Question Submitted:
We will need more info before suppliers can give us a realistic quote. First you should send out unprotected specs sheets so we can copy and paste info without retyping all the info. Federal government usually does. You are wanting 9 different units: Are they at separate locations.? Is all the pipe 6 to 8 inch.? Can you break out how many are 6 and how many are eight.? What is the facility and what do they do? Where are these units being used? We need to know the hardness of the water? Process water or incoming city water? Any other pipe sizes beside the 6 and 8 ? Thanks
Response Received:
I will not send out unprotected sheets, people change the requirements. Your product either meets the requirement"Yes" or it don't "No", a simple yes or no will make it much easier for the contracting officer rather than sorting through all of your specifications that you would paste in there. If you have additional relevant product information please feel free to send it in an attachment. As stated we want 9 units, they are in separate buildings. The requirement is for it to be rated to work on 2 inch copper pipe, the requirement says rated to work when wrapping 6 to 8 inches of pipe. That is the length to be wrapped, not the diameter. I will not state anything about facilities, product should be rated to treat rated flow of 2 inch copper line.
