The artwork in the bid only includes the height and width of the badge. When you enlarge the image to fit the insignia width specification, the height of the badge does not comply with the specification. For example, height of the Service Cap insignia as specified is 1-9/16" (1..5625") to the centerline, or a total height of 3-1/8" (3.125"). When the bid artwork is enlarged to the specified width of the insignia, the height is 2.1699" versus the specified height of 3.125". This is evidence of distortion when copying an original drawing. To eliminate this error, vectored artwork and an actual insignia should be submitted to insure the duplication of the insignia. It would be optimal if an insignia could be provided so that it can be exactly duplicated. It is possible to provide a sample 15 days after insignia is provided. Additionally, requesting a specified sample on the bid date is wasteful as the supplier would have to invest in tooling. As an alternative a representative sample would prove the supplier's qualifications and process capabilities. If lowest bidder, we are prepared to take on additional tooling costs to provide approved sample.

I wanted to check (if possible) if there was a better design file for the Full Dess Hat and Dress Cap Insignias. I see the handwritten sketches.
